Often, no. If you are an EU citizen, speak reasonable Spanish, are moving alone, have no children to place in school and are not on a deadline, you can do all of this yourself. The procedures are tedious rather than difficult, and the money is better spent on a deposit.
The case for hiring someone gets stronger as these stack up: you do not speak Spanish; you are non-EU and the visa route is conditional; children need school places on a fixed admissions calendar; your employer is paying and your time has an opportunity cost; you are buying property; or you are arriving on a date you cannot move.
Any firm that tells you that you definitely need them, before hearing your situation, has told you something useful about how they sell.
Relocation companies are not law firms, tax advisers or estate agencies. Immigration casework, tax filings and company formation are regulated. Ask who does those, whether they are licensed, and whether their fees are marked up.
Get the scope in writing, including what happens when an appointment is cancelled by the administration — which it will be — and who pays for the re-run.
Ask who your contact is and whether they will attend appointments with you or just book them. The difference in outcome is large.
A firm that will tell you what falls outside their competence is a firm you can trust on what falls inside it.

Appointments vanish, offices change requirements, documents get rejected. Ask for a specific example of a case that went wrong and what they did. Vague answers here are the most telling.

Easy Landing Málaga was founded in 2019 by HR professionals who had been expatriates themselves — in the United Kingdom and in Japan — and who had done the paperwork in countries where they did not speak the language.
Our co-founder, Ana Moreno, is an HR consultant specialising in global mobility and employment law, with around twenty years in HR across Spain, the UK and Japan, a degree in labour relations from the Universidad de Málaga and a CIPD Advanced Award in Human Resources at Level 7. Before Easy Landing she was a People Partner at Ciklum in Málaga, an HR Manager at Endemol Shine Group in London and an HR Advisor for EMEA at Expedia.
That background is why the company does both halves — the family arriving with two suitcases, and the company that has just hired them.
